Liverpool Battles Premier League Rival to Sign Star Forward Current Club Responds Immediately

Liverpool has entered a battle with a Premier League rival to compete for a key attacking player, and the player's current club has responded immediately.

On 29 Dec 2025 GMT+7, Italian sports media Tuttosport reported that Liverpool is ready to battle Arsenal, their Premier League title rival, to sign Kenan Yildiz, a Turkish national team attacker from Juventus, the Serie A giants.

Sources said that Liverpool and Arsenal have been monitoring Kenan Yildiz's situation for several months, including making phone inquiries about the 20-year-old in recent weeks, after he emerged as a key figure in Juventus's attack.

Although Kenan Yildiz's contract runs until 2029, his agent wants him to be among Juventus's highest-paid players, leading Liverpool and Arsenal to watch closely for an opportunity to sign him.

Most recently, Tuttosport revealed that Juventus is growing concerned and is preparing to respond swiftly by pushing to renew Yildiz's contract, offering an annual salary of 6 million euros—likely net after taxes—up from the current 4.5 million euros per year.

The report also stated Juventus will offer special bonuses to Kenan Yildiz to persuade his father and agent, Engin, to accept the offer, with the "Bianconeri" hoping to extend the contract until 2031.
