Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is reported to have made a decision after Manchester United dismissed Rúben Amorim from the managerial position.
On 6 Jan 2025 GMT+7, Manchester World reported that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is prepared to consider returning as interim manager of the "Red Devils" Manchester United following the club's parting with Rúben Amorim.
Solskjaer became unemployed after being dismissed as manager of Beşiktaş, a Turkish club, in August last year. This was his first managerial job since leaving the Manchester United position in November 2021.
The latest report states that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is ready to consider managing Manchester United as interim manager until the end of this season. Although it is unclear whether the club has included him on the shortlist, he is interested in negotiating a return to his beloved former club.
Solskjaer previously had the chance to serve as interim manager for United after José Mourinho was dismissed, achieving an impressive unbeaten run of 11 consecutive matches. He was then rewarded with a three-year permanent contract. United finished two full seasons under Solskjaer's management in 3rd and 2nd place in the league.
Therefore, it will be interesting to see if Manchester United shows interest in bringing Solskjaer back. What is certain is that Solskjaer remains one of the most beloved legends among the Red Devils' fans.
