Antoine Semenyo has officially been unveiled as a new member of Manchester City, the top English club, sharing his first feelings and the background behind his shirt number choice.
On 9 Jan 2026 GMT+7, Antoine Semenyo was officially introduced as the newest member of the "Sky Blues," Manchester City, a prominent Premier League club managed by Spanish coach Pep Guardiola. He transferred from fellow league rivals Bournemouth, known as "The Cherries," for a fee of £65 million, approximately 2.746 billion baht.
Antoine Semenyo spoke about his move and shirt number choice: “I’m very happy to join this club. This is a team capable of winning every trophy. As for why I chose this number, it was my first at Bristol City when I signed my first contract. This number has always stayed in my mind. I could only choose between 42 or 24, but 24 was taken, so I returned to my original number. That’s the inspiration behind it.”
Antoine Semenyo is expected to make his debut for the Sky Blues at the Etihad Stadium when they welcome Exeter City on the evening of 10 January at 22:00 Thai time.
