What Does Manchester United Say? A Top Foreign Club Eyes Signing Masraoui

What is Manchester United's reaction after Nussair Mazraoui, their skilled right-back, received interest from a major foreign club?

On 12 Jan 2026 GMT+7, Manchester United, the Premier League giants currently led temporarily by manager Darren Fletcher, responded following reports that Moroccan right-back Nussair Mazraoui attracted attention from a prominent overseas league club.

Looking back to his first season, Mazraoui performed excellently after transferring from Bayern Munich, a top Bundesliga club in Germany, alongside Matthijs de Ligt. However, this year he has rarely played regularly. Especially under former coach Rúben Amorim, who used a three-man defense system, his opportunities diminished, compounded by occasional fitness issues.

Recently, Italy’s leading sports newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport reported that Juventus, the famous Serie A club seeking a new right-back, is considering signing 28-year-old Nussair Mazraoui. Reports say Mazraoui wants to leave Manchester United to seek new challenges ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
