Jeremy Frimpong looks ahead to FA Cup glory and clearly states his preferred position for Liverpool.
On 13 Jan 2026 GMT+7, Jeremy Frimpong opened up after scoring a goal to help Liverpool secure a 4-1 victory over Barnsley, advancing to the FA Cup fourth round. This goal came after a long wait, following injuries that limited his playing time. He also affirmed his determination to win the FA Cup.
Frimpong said, "I've been injured for a while and hadn't scored in a long time. I think my last goal was in the Community Shield game, which was quite some time ago. So, I'm very happy to have scored this goal."
"This is a major competition. I love trophies, and we want to win this one. So, we will focus on one game at a time, taking it step by step."
"We play football to win. We have a great team. This is Liverpool Football Club. What we need to do is find good opportunities and maintain consistency."
When asked about his preferred position, Frimpong replied, "For me, I can play any position — right-back, right wing, or right wing-back... I've played them all. It doesn't matter; I can play equally well in any of those roles."
