Manchester City officially unveiled Mark Gehi, the England national team defender from Crystal Palace. He expressed great pride in joining the best team in England.
On 19 Jan 2026 GMT+7, Manchester City, the Premier League champions, officially introduced 25-year-old England international defender Mark Gehi from Crystal Palace. He became the club's second new signing in the 2026 winter transfer window, following Antoine Semenyo.
Reports indicate that Man City acquired Gehi for around £20 million as his contract with Crystal Palace was nearing expiration. He signed a long-term deal for five and a half years, until June 2031, with a weekly wage of approximately £300,000.
Mark Gehi will wear the number 15 jersey for the "Sky Blues" for the remainder of the 2025/26 season and is expected to immediately strengthen the team's defense.
Following his official unveiling, Gehi gave his first interview as a Manchester City player, admitting he felt very happy and proud about the transfer.

The England international defender also emphasized his personal goals after moving to Etihad Stadium.
