Kamronwit Thupkrajang, President of the Pathum Thani Provincial Administrative Organization, recalled the story of 'Thep Biw' Phuriphon Boonsorn, a Thai national track athlete and the first Thai sprinter to record the fastest 100-meter time of 9.94 seconds.
"Big Jazz" spoke at the press conference for the 'Pathum Thani Student and University Sports Festival,' or #PathumThaniGames. During the event, he shared the story of 'Biw' Phuriphon Boonsorn, noting that at age 20, the sprinter began developing his skills and potential in Pathum Thani Province, where he trained at the athletics center in Sam Khok District before representing Thailand at the 2022 Asian Games in China. After returning, he took on a role managing the Thai athletics team.
Additionally, "Big Jazz" continued that last week, a concerning matter arose when a Thai national athletics coach confided in him that a Middle Eastern country is interested in recruiting Thep Biw to compete for their nation, offering a monthly salary in the million-baht range.
