Amid reports that the board has not yet shown urgency to change the manager, the pressure on Arne Slot from fans is clearly intensifying.
The media asked, “What do you think about the rumors of Xabi Alonso and Liverpool? Does it affect you? Do you feel the pressure from fans booing the team? Have you spoken with Xabi?”
Slot replied jokingly, “Yes, he called me and asked, ‘What do you think about the team? Because I’m going to take over in six months. Can you tell me about it?’ Or maybe sooner? Maybe he’ll take the job tomorrow. No, no, no... This is one of the strangest questions I’ve ever had!”
