The father of Tangkiw Pannawat, captain of Montongwittaya School, denies rumors that his son will repeat Grade 12 to help the team compete in seven-a-side football.
On 22 January 2026, Montongwittaya, runner-up of the 2025 Seven HD Football Tournament under coach Sakol Kliangprasert, made a move.
There are rumors that "Tangkiw" Pannawat Phongboonphat, who gained fame from the Seven Color Football show, will repeat Grade 12 to continue representing Montongwittaya since he is still eligible by age (born in 2008).
Recently, Pok Banpoon from Bang Yikhan, father of Tangkiw, a player from Montongwittaya School, posted a message debunking the rumor as untrue.
"For what reason? To boost engagement? My son was simply attending an ROTC training camp, and then this kind of news comes out. Have you considered the child's feelings? My son was doing fine as he was. This is really unacceptable."
"This information is not true yet. None of my son's decisions have been confirmed, and the school has neither forced nor instructed him to drop out. My son hasn’t done anything regarding this. Please consider the child’s feelings."
