Manchester United is interested in acquiring 22-year-old Barcelona midfielder Marc Casado to join their team.
On 22 Jan 2026 GMT+7, Manchester United officially contacted Barcelona regarding midfielder Marc Casado, valued at around £44 million (1.8 billion baht), according to Mundo Deportivo.
The 22-year-old midfielder is regarded as one of the most disciplined and intelligent defensive midfielders from La Masia academy. Besides interest from the "Red Devils," Wolverhampton Wanderers, another English Premier League club, are also keen on Casado.
The "Red Devils" want to sign Casado by 2026 as part of a midfield overhaul plan. Additionally, Manchester United has been linked with Ruben Neves from Al Hilal, Adam Worrall from Crystal Palace, Carlos Baleba from Brighton, Elliot Anderson from Nottingham Forest, and Joao Gomes from Wolverhampton.
Strengthening the midfield has become a top priority for Manchester United due to several issues in the current squad. Casemiro's contract is nearing expiration, while Manuel Ugarte's performance has not met the club's expectations.
