London Feels Lonely! Palmer Homesick, Plans to Leave Chelsea for Manchester

London feels lonely! Palmer is heavily homesick and plans to leave Chelsea to return to Manchester.

On 23 Jan 2026 GMT+7, the Premier League transfer market is heating up, and Cole Palmer's name is becoming a major topic among fans. Reports indicate he is open to leaving Chelsea and may choose to return to Manchester City or cross town to join Manchester United, the club he supported as a child.

Cole Palmer moved from the Etihad in 2023 to join Chelsea for about £42.5 million and made a strong breakthrough initially in the Premier League. However, this season he has faced injuries and personal issues, with The Sun reporting that he is “not very happy with life in the south.”

The report adds that if Pep Guardiola leaves his position as Manchester City manager in the future and Enzo Maresca, a former Chelsea coach, takes over, Palmer might decide to return to the Etihad.

Meanwhile, Palmer is also linked with Manchester United, the club he has supported since childhood. René Meulensteen, a former United coach, believes Palmer would fit in well, especially if Mauricio Pochettino comes in.

Although Palmer currently has a contract with Chelsea until 2033 and there is no official confirmation of a transfer, rumors from multiple sources are enough to heat up the transfer market and keep fans closely watching this player's movements.
