Do Man United fans miss "Onana"? He has made his decision about "Man United" after his loan contract in the Turkish league ended.
On 28 Jan 2026 GMT+7, the Daily Mail, a prominent British media outlet, reported on the future of André Onana, Manchester United's goalkeeper, who recovered his form at Trabzonspor in the Turkish league after a difficult period in the English Premier League.
André Onana was loaned by Man United to Trabzonspor until the end of this season after losing the No. 1 spot to Senne Lammens, who was signed from Royal Antwerp. Since moving to Turkey, Onana has performed excellently, losing only 3 out of 16 games.
This performance has lifted Trabzonspor to 3rd place in the league standings, keeping them in the title race. They trail league leaders Galatasaray by 5 points and second-place Fenerbahçe by only 2 points.
Recently, the Daily Mail revealed that André Onana may permanently part ways with Man United this summer, with a chance to move back to Inter Milan after his agent has negotiated with his former Serie A club.
Sources say Onana's representative was in Milan this week to discuss several possible agreements. Inter Milan is currently looking for a replacement for their current No. 1, Yann Sommer, whose contract expires at the end of this season.
Onana still owns a home in Milan, although his salary demands might pose an obstacle for Inter Milan to re-sign him. Meanwhile, he has two and a half years left on his Man United contract, meaning compensation might be required for a transfer to happen.
