English football giant Liverpool will immediately relieve their coach Arne Slot of his duties if he fails to meet a key criterion set by the club's board.
On 2 Feb 2026 GMT+7, Liverpool, the well-known Premier League club, will immediately sack their Dutch manager Arne Slot if he fails to meet a specific condition set by the board, despite some recent improvement in results.
Arne Slot's future hangs by a thread, uncertain when it might be severed, especially after suffering defeat in 9 of 12 matches and a subsequent poor run of form. However, recently his performance has improved both in the UEFA Champions League, where they crushed Qarabag 6-0, and continued with an impressive 4-1 victory over Newcastle United in the English Premier League.
Nonetheless, Slot cannot be fully trusted yet. Despite a £500 million (approximately 21.641 billion baht) summer investment to build the squad, Liverpool currently stands 6th in the table. The board's minimum condition is that the team must secure a spot in next season's UEFA Champions League. Failure to do so will inevitably lead to changes.
