"Jamie Carragher," the Liverpool legend, apologizes to a Manchester United star after previously criticizing him as being past his best.
On 2 Feb 2026 GMT+7, Jamie Carragher, former Liverpool legend from the Premier League, apologized to Brazilian midfielder Casemiro of Manchester United after having previously criticized him as being past his prime.
Previously, Jamie Carragher made quite harsh comments about Casemiro, saying the 33-year-old should quit before football leaves him behind, following Manchester United's 0-4 defeat to Crystal Palace in May 2024.
Recently, Jamie Carragher stated, "I think Casemiro's performance at Manchester United is currently outstanding, and everyone knows he is about to leave the club. He is performing at the best level the club expects from a player. He will be remembered very positively. Although his mid-period at the club was difficult, his early and recent performances have been truly good. I think now he has every right to come to me and say, 'You should quit being a football pundit before the career leaves you behind.' He can say that because he is really excellent."
