Previously, Jamie Carragher made quite harsh comments about 33-year-old Casemiro, saying he should retire before football leaves him behind, following Manchester United’s 0-4 defeat to Crystal Palace in May 2024.
Recently, Jamie Carragher said, "I think Casemiro's performance for Manchester United right now is outstanding. Everyone knows he's about to leave the club. He's delivering exactly what the club expects from a player. He will be remembered very positively, even though his middle period with the team was difficult. Both his early and later stages were really strong. I believe now he has every right to come up to me and say, 'You should quit being a football pundit before the profession leaves you behind.' He can say that; he's truly excellent."
