Paul Merson praised Kobbie Mainyu's performance in the recent victory over Fulham, saying, "He (Kobbie Mainyu) has had more playing time, his consistency and confidence have increased. He plays very well both offensively and defensively, especially when paired with Casemiro, which seems very effective."
"If I had to choose between Elliott Anderson or Adam Worrall to replace Casemiro, I would pick Adam Worrall. I think this pairing would work very well because Elliott Anderson is quite similar to Kobbie Mainyu. It's like the England national team having Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard, who couldn't play together because their roles on the field overlapped too much."
