Arsenal keeps smiling with two latest good news after reaching the Carabao Cup final, avenging Chelsea.
On 4 Feb 2026 GMT+7, following Arsenal's narrow 1-0 home win over fellow Premier League side Chelsea in the second leg of the 2025-26 Carabao Cup semi-final, they successfully advanced to the final with a 4-2 aggregate score.
This gives Arsenal a chance to win their first trophy out of four competitions this season and their first major title in six years since Mikel Arteta led the "Gunners" to the 2019-20 FA Cup in his first season as their Spanish manager.
However, Arsenal were without key winger Bukayo Saka and captain midfielder Martin Ødegaard even on the bench due to injuries sustained in their latest Premier League 4-0 away win over Leeds United last Saturday.
Nevertheless, the Daily Express, a prominent UK media outlet, revealed good news that Bukayo Saka's injury is not severe and he is expected to return within three weeks in time to help the team visit Tottenham Hotspur for the London Derby in the Premier League on Sunday, 22 Feb 2026 GMT+7.
As for Martin Ødegaard, Mikel Arteta hopes he will be fit in time for the Premier League match at home against Sunderland on Saturday, 7 Feb 2026 GMT+7.
The Arsenal manager spoke about their current conditions: “(Bukayo Saka) is okay now. We need further checks tomorrow to see how he is doing. It is still too early after the game, but hopefully, he won’t be sidelined for too long.”
“(Martin Ødegaard) felt a slight pain during the game against Leeds United. We tried to let him play yesterday, but he was still not feeling well. So, we’ll see if he will be ready to play this weekend.”
