"The Magpies," Newcastle United, are reportedly ready to sell Sandro Tonali to Manchester United but with one condition.
On 11 Feb 2026 GMT+7, The Telegraph, a leading English media outlet, reported that "The Magpies" Newcastle United are considering selling Italian international midfielder Sandro Tonali to "The Red Devils" Manchester United this summer if they receive a £104 million offer.
It is understood that Manchester United will definitely strengthen their midfield after this season to replace Casemiro, who is set to leave. They have been linked with several midfielders, including Elliott Anderson of Nottingham Forest, Carlos Baleba of Brighton, and Adam Worthington of Crystal Palace.
However, the latest reports indicate that Sandro Tonali of Newcastle has become one of the top targets Manchester United aims to bring in, thanks to his excellent skills and young age of just 25, allowing him to be a long-term team cornerstone.
Tonali moved from AC Milan to Newcastle in 2023 for £56 million, but his value may have risen significantly. Currently, Newcastle values him at as high as £104 million. If Manchester United submits an offer of that amount, The Magpies are ready to negotiate.
Newcastle is in no rush to sell Tonali since his contract lasts until 2029, giving them a strong advantage in this deal. The player remains fully committed to the club, especially in the UEFA Champions League, where they have successfully reached the playoff round.
