Jürgen Klopp, Liverpool's manager, spoke openly after leading the team to an away win over Sunderland in the latest Premier League match.
Klopp expressed satisfaction with his team's performance after they defeated Sunderland, known as the "Black Cats," 1-0 in the English Premier League last night, also praising Mohamed Salah for achieving an important record.
Klopp said, "We showed once again how well we can play football. We created many chances today."
"The commitment we showed throughout the entire game was excellent, and that is why we returned home with a 1-0 victory."
"In the second half, we had many good moments and several times our quality players were well-positioned. Overall, the work rate was really very good."
Speaking about Salah, who has recorded 92 Premier League assists, matching Steven Gerrard, Klopp said, "He has many records for this club, but sharing this one with an outstanding player like Gerrard is truly amazing. Both are incredible players for this club."
"It's unfortunate for Steven, but I expect Mo will break his record. I don't expect it, but I hope he can do it."
Meanwhile, Virgil van Dijk, who scored the winning goal, spoke about the chances of playing in next season's Champions League: "We cannot deny it's a big deal, but there are still 12 games left to play. So we need to keep improving and try to maintain consistency."
