Rooney stated, "I think he (Michael Carrick) has the qualities to bring the team back to success. We've tried many different coaches before, including Jose Mourinho, Louis van Gaal, Erik ten Hag, and Ruben Amorim, but none have met expectations. For Michael Carrick, he is the reasonable answer."
