On 18 Feb 2026 GMT+7, following Ratchaburi FC's match in the 2025-26 AFC Champions League 2 round of 16 second leg, the Thai League 1 representative lost 0-1 away to Persib Bandung, leaders of Indonesia's top league.

However, with a 3-1 aggregate win, Ratchaburi FC, known as the "Mangkorn Kings," advanced to the Asian cup quarterfinals for the first time in club history, awaiting the winner between Gamba Osaka (Japan) and Pohang Steelers (South Korea).

After the game, chaos erupted when Persib Bandung's home fans, upset by their team's elimination, rushed onto the field directly toward Ratchaburi players, forcing players, coaching staff, team personnel, and fans of the "Mangkorn Kings" to quickly flee into the visiting team's dressing room.

Jaroensak Wonggorn, Thai national player for Ratchaburi FC, posted on his personal Facebook updating from Indonesia: "Thank you everyone for your concern. Everyone on the team is safe now."

"But the game was ugly. There were stones, bricks, and water bottles thrown, flares tossed at players during warm-up, and clashes involving our fans while seated. Fortunately, no one was hurt and we got through it. Thanks to everyone who made it through to the next round with us."

Meanwhile, Ratchaburi FC issued a statement on the latest situation: "After the chaos at Gelora Bandung Lautan Api Stadium, all Ratchaburi FC players and staff are safely inside the dressing room, waiting for the situation outside to improve before leaving the stadium."

"All our players, staff, and fans who came to support have gathered safely inside the dressing room."

"Thank you to everyone who has expressed concern and inquired about our situation in Indonesia. We are now leaving Gelora Bandung Lautan Api Stadium under police and military escort."

"See you back in Ratchaburi, Thailand, and let's continue the ACL 2 journey, Mangkorn Kings family."
