What’s Happening? Famous Premier League Coach May Leave His Club Immediately, Leaving a Cliffhanger to Watch Soon

On 20 February 2026, Oliver Glasner, manager of Crystal Palace, gave his latest interview at a press conference ahead of the 27th round Premier League match, hosting Wolverhampton on Sunday, 22 February. He hinted that he might leave the club soon.

Reports indicate that Oliver Glasner, who led Crystal Palace to win the FA Cup last season, is currently in talks about his future after fans booed in dissatisfaction due to only one win in the last 15 games and his early announcement that he would leave the team when his contract expires this summer.

When asked if he would continue managing the team until the end of the season, the Crystal Palace coach replied, “Let’s see what the future holds. You never know.” When asked again if he still has the motivation to manage the team through the season, Glasner responded, “I feel that I do.”

Then Oliver Glasner clarified, “I always look at things realistically, and right now we are not in the best period. To be honest, I understand and I take full responsibility because I am responsible for the entire team.”

“Right now, I’m not good enough to find someone to replace the players we sold. I’m not good enough to adapt the new players to play at the same level. And I’m not good enough to cope with the demanding schedule we have.”

“On the other hand, I have been good enough to perform in the best season ever, winning two trophies (FA Cup and Community Shield), and also achieving 32 points after 26 games. I look back sometimes because I like to reflect.”

“Crystal Palace has performed better than this year twice before: once last season and once in 2021. There has never been a time when points have consistently been between 25 and 29.”

“It seems that although everyone is angry, disappointed, and frustrated now, we have played better in the Premier League than in 8 of the last 10 seasons for Crystal Palace. We have even played European football, and that is the reality.”

“As I said, in the end you always depend on your players, and they will receive full support as usual. Then we will see what the future holds. You never know.”

“As a manager, you stay or are allowed to stay only if the results are good. Football is like that. In recent months, the results have been poor, the form inconsistent, and that’s all there is to it.”
