Two Teams Nearly Out of Contention as Supercomputer Predicts 2025-26 Premier League Title Favorites After Latest Matches

Two teams are almost out of the running as the "supercomputer" predicts the favorites to win the 2025-26 Premier League after the latest round of matches.

On 23 Feb 2026 GMT+7, Opta, the football statistics expert, released the latest predictions from its supercomputer on which team has the highest chance to win the 2025-26 English Premier League season after last night's matches.

1. Arsenal – 61 points

2. Manchester City – 56 points

3. Aston Villa – 51 points

4. Chelsea – 45 points (goal difference +17)

5. Manchester United – 45 points (+10)

6. Liverpool – 45 points (+7)

Opta’s supercomputer predicts Arsenal remains the clear favorite to win the Premier League, with their chances rising above 80% after their recent 4-1 away thrashing of Tottenham in the London derby.

Meanwhile, Manchester City remains the second favorite after a narrow 2-1 win over Newcastle United, keeping the gap at 5 points behind Arsenal.

Aston Villa, the third favorite, saw their chances plummet below 1% after a 1-1 home draw with Leeds United. Liverpool, in fourth, has a slight chance after a 1-0 away win against Nottingham Forest in the 97th minute. Chelsea, the fifth favorite, faces bleak prospects after being held 1-1 by Burnley.
