Disappointed teams as the "Supercomputer" predicts which clubs will qualify for the UCL among Villa, Manchester United, Liverpool, and Chelsea.
On 2 March 2026 GMT+7, Opta, football statistics experts, revealed the latest predictions by their supercomputer on which Premier League teams in the 2025-26 season have the highest chances of securing a spot in the UEFA Champions League after this week's matches.
1. Arsenal – 64 points
2. Manchester City – 59 points
3. Manchester United – 51 points (goal difference +12)
4. Aston Villa – 51 points (+8)
5. Liverpool – 48 points
6. Chelsea – 45 points
Arsenal, the league leaders, and Manchester City, runners-up, are unlikely to miss out on next season's UCL qualification. The real contest is among third-place Manchester United, fourth-place Aston Villa, fifth-place Liverpool, and sixth-place Chelsea.
Opta's supercomputer analysis shows Aston Villa still has the highest chance, while the "Red Devils" are the next most likely, with probabilities increasingly close between them and the "Villans."
Liverpool also has a competitive chance comparable to Manchester United, whereas Chelsea’s chances are the lowest after failing to win in their last three league games.
1. Arsenal 100%
2. Manchester City 99.90%
3. Aston Villa 69.36%
4. Manchester United 58.06%
5. Liverpool 54.24%
6. Chelsea 14.84%
