Uh-oh, major media reveal that "Manchester United," the top English club, risks breaching PSR rules with "Andre Onana" involved.
On 10 Mar 2026 GMT+7, Manchester Evening News, a prominent local outlet in Manchester, reported that the "Red Devils," Manchester United, a leading Premier League club managed by interim English coach Michael Carrick, risk breaching PSR rules, with goalkeeper Andre Onana—currently on loan at Turkish top-tier club Trabzonspor—being involved.
The Manchester-based red giants face the risk of violating the Premier League's PSR or financial regulations that control club spending. These rules focus on limiting losses to prevent clubs from overspending to the point of bankruptcy.
The media outlet noted that the current third-place Premier League club must try to offload Andre Onana this summer to avoid losses under PSR rules. Onana is considered surplus to requirements, but his reputation could still generate some income. The club is willing to lower their expected sale price from an initial £40 million (approximately 1.714 billion baht) to around £20-25 million (approximately 856-1,071 million baht).
