Hugo Ekitiqué, the French international forward for Liverpool, stated that his team should have even beaten Galatasaray 10-0 at home in the UEFA Champions League round of 16 second leg last night, after winning 4-0 and advancing with a 4-1 aggregate score.
In that match, Liverpool had 32 goal-scoring opportunities and scored 4 goals. After the game, Ekitiqué felt the Reds should have beaten Galatasaray 10-0.
Ekitiqué, who scored one goal in this game, said, "We deserved to reach this stage, so everyone is very happy. Tonight we performed excellently. We should have won 10-0 even."
"We made some adjustments at halftime, and after I took my chance to score, we started playing more freely. Everyone performed well and ran hard for each other throughout the game. We are ready and looking forward to the quarter-finals."
