Spurs shaken! Tudor is in trouble as the FA prepares charges after he accused the referee of biased decisions in the 1-2 away loss to Fulham.
On 20 Mar 2026 GMT+7, the Football Association (FA) charged Igor Tudor, manager of Tottenham Hotspur, with misconduct following his harsh criticism of the referee's performance in Spurs' 1-2 defeat at Fulham.
The FA's official statement on Thursday said Tudor was charged for a post-match interview containing remarks that implied accusations of referee bias, questioned the referee's integrity, and brought the game into disrepute.
The issue originated from the 7th-minute opening goal by Harry Wilson, amid controversy over Raul Jimenez pushing Radu Dragusin before the ball reached Wilson and resulted in a goal.
After the match, Tudor expressed to the media, "I did not like the referee today. He was too much of a home team's referee. All decisions favored them. He does not understand football and does not know right from wrong." He also accused Jimenez of cheating.
This incident occurred in only Tudor's second match since taking over as Spurs manager, replacing Thomas Frank who was dismissed.
Both Tudor and the club have until Monday, 23 March, to respond or contest the charges. If found guilty, Tudor could face fines or even a ban from the sidelines, which would heavily impact Spurs currently 16th in the Premier League, just one point above the relegation zone, with eight matches remaining to fight for top-flight survival.
