Amazing! Star Man City Gets Good News After Winning Carabao Cup Against Arsenal

Amazing! "Star Man City" gets good news after winning the Carabao Cup by defeating Arsenal.

On 23 Mar 2026 GMT+7, following the 2025-26 Carabao Cup final, Manchester City defeated their Premier League rival Arsenal 2-0 at Wembley Stadium last night.

This victory secured Manchester City's ninth Carabao Cup (League Cup) title from ten final appearances, second only to Liverpool's record of 10 titles, and is their first major trophy this season out of the three still contested (Premier League, FA Cup).

Young Man City star Nico O'Reilly received a special gift celebrating his 21st birthday on 21 Mar, after scoring both goals in this match to lead the "Sky Blues," the club where he has developed since joining the academy in 2013, to the Carabao Cup title, also earning Man of the Match honors.

This is Nico O'Reilly's first major career trophy with Manchester City, and his second title following the 2024 Community Shield, after the disappointment of losing the FA Cup final last season 0-1 to Crystal Palace.

Nico O'Reilly expressed his feelings after winning the Carabao Cup: "Unbelievable! Winning the trophy and beating Arsenal—we knew how strong they were. We have to build on this; it will motivate us, and I’m very excited about today."

"Yes, it felt incredible to see the fans celebrate like that when I scored. It felt great and made for an amazing weekend—a fantastic birthday weekend as well."

"Since I was young, I’ve always played as a midfielder and often moved into the penalty box to score. Doing this at a professional and top level is great for me and has helped me score more goals. It feels really good."

O'Reilly also shared his excitement about celebrating the victory with his entire family at Wembley: "Today, my whole family came. They were all in the stands, probably very excited, and I can’t wait to celebrate with them."
