"The Bavarians" Bayern Munich have reportedly made a decision after Liverpool expressed readiness to spend big to sign Michael Olise.
"The Bavarians" Bayern Munich, a giant of the German Bundesliga, have confirmed they have no plans to release French international winger Michael Olise to "The Reds" Liverpool, despite reports that the Premier League powerhouse is ready to pay £173 million to secure the star winger.
Olise transferred from Crystal Palace to Bayern Munich for €50 million and immediately made an impact. He has scored 36 goals and provided 43 assists in 97 appearances across all competitions. Thanks to his outstanding form, there are reports that Liverpool are interested and prepared to pay £173 million to acquire the 24-year-old as a replacement for Mohamed Salah, who plans to leave the club after the 2025-26 season.
However, recently Max Eberl, Bayern's Sporting Director, and Jan-Christian Dreesen, CEO of the Bavarians, confirmed that Olise will definitely not be sold.
"Olise has a contract with us until 2029 with no release clause. We are not worried at all," Max Eberl said.
Meanwhile, Dreesen stated, “Anyone who plays for Bayern Munich knows what they have at Bayern."
"We are competing for titles, and that is the most important thing for great players like him. Few clubs can offer that, and we are definitely one of them. That is why I am very confident Olise knows what he will get by staying here."
Eberl added, "He is a Bayern player and has everything that a top-level player desires. We want to build the future with him."
"We want players like him at Bayern. His development shows what can be achieved here. For a player like him, there are no limits. We believe he can do anything."
