Roy Keane, the legendary midfielder, commented on Mohamed Salah as he prepares to conclude nine years with Liverpool at the end of this season, linking the situation to Cristiano Ronaldo.
On 26 Mar 2026 GMT+7, Roy Keane, the legendary Irish midfielder, commented on Egyptian forward Mohamed Salah, who is preparing to end a nine-year spell with the Reds, Liverpool, a prominent Premier League club, at the close of the 2025-26 season, while drawing a connection to Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo.
Roy Keane said, "A good dancer knows when to leave the stage, just like Cristiano Ronaldo. After dedicating so much to his clubs, they dropped him, saying he was a problem. Now Mohamed Salah is in that same situation with Liverpool. You can't drop a player like this and then expect him to fight to regain his place after he has done so much for the club."
Mohamed Salah moved from the 'Wolves of Rome' Roma, a Serie A Italian club, to Anfield in 2017 for a transfer fee of £35 million, approximately 1.526 billion baht. He has more than repaid the club with a prolific goal-scoring record and helping them win major trophies, including the Premier League. To date, he has appeared in 435 matches, scoring 255 goals and providing 122 assists.
