Liverpool Legends Draw with Borussia Dortmund Legends in Charity Football Match

Liverpool legends were caught late by Borussia Dortmund legends to draw in a charity football match at Anfield Stadium.

The charity football match at Anfield on Saturday night, 28 March 2026 GMT+7, featured a face-off between Liverpool "Reds" legends and Borussia Dortmund "Yellow Submarine" legends. Liverpool was jointly managed by Sir Kenny Dalglish and Jürgen Klopp.

Just six minutes into the first half, Liverpool took a 1-0 lead when Ryan Babel crossed the ball into the right side of the penalty area, allowing Thiago Alcântara to slide and sweep the ball into the net.

Then in the 39th minute, Liverpool extended their lead to 2-0 with a sharp strike by Jay Spearing that went into the top corner, ending the first half at that score.

In the second half, at the 63rd minute, Dortmund pulled one back to 1-2 when Mohamed Zidan broke through and shot the ball past Pepe Reina into the near post.

Not done yet, at the 81st minute Dortmund equalized 2-2 from a cross into the penalty area, with Jan Koller heading the ball into the net.

The game ended in a 2-2 draw between Liverpool legends and Borussia Dortmund legends.
