Klopp Opens Up After Returning to Liverpool Home Again

Jurgen Klopp, former Liverpool manager, opened up after returning to Anfield once again during a charity match last night.

Jurgen Klopp, former manager of the "Reds" Liverpool, said that having managed the Reds for nine years is a feeling he is very proud of. He had the chance to return to Anfield for a charity match where Liverpool legends drew Dortmund legends 2-2 last night. He described Anfield as like home and said it still feels that way.

This marked Klopp's first visit back to Anfield since watching Liverpool under the management of Arne Slot win the Premier League with Crystal Palace on the final day of last season.

During nearly nine years managing Liverpool, 58-year-old Klopp led the Reds to Premier League and UEFA Champions League titles, along with many other honors.

Klopp said, "You’d be very foolish to dream that big. I look at my future positively. Coming from where I did and achieving this much is a miracle."

"You have to work incredibly hard to be here with one of the greatest clubs in the world and the club full of the most passion in the world."

"Even when I look at the empty stadium, I still feel proud to have been here for nine years. It is my home, and it still is. It’s truly incredible!"

Additionally, Klopp revealed his appreciation for the Liverpool fans' love before, during, and after the game. He performed three air punches in front of the fans, a gesture "The Kop" supporters have not seen for a long time.

"It’s really great. Nothing has changed at all. I enjoyed every second. My role today wasn’t to say much; I came here for the Liverpool Foundation and to be part of a special experience after so long apart, meeting Liverpool and Dortmund players who don’t often get to meet."

“Today was really great. People were excited. It was wonderful to see so many players on the field. Just watching Thiago Alcantara alone was worth the ticket!”

When asked if he would return next year, Klopp replied, “Definitely!”
