"The Spurs" Tottenham Hotspur officially unveiled their new head coach, who shared a memorable statement that endeared him to Spurs fans.
Italian coach Roberto De Zerbi has officially been introduced as the new manager of "The Spurs" Tottenham Hotspur, a prominent club in the English Premier League.
De Zerbi, the former Brighton manager who has been unemployed since leaving Marseille in February, agreed to a lucrative five-year contract with Spurs, making him the third highest-paid manager in the Premier League.
His mission is to help improve Spurs’ performance as they battle to avoid relegation this season. Currently, Spurs sit just one point above the relegation zone with seven games left to play.
De Zerbi said, "I am very happy to be here with you. It is a great honor to be here, and I am very proud to be your coach. I want to do my best. I want to stay with this great club for a long time."
“I am very pleased to join this outstanding football club, one of the biggest and most renowned clubs in the world.”
“In all my discussions with the club’s executives, their ambition for the future was clear: to build a team capable of achieving great success, and to do so with an exciting style of football that inspires our fans.”
"I came here because I believe in that goal, and I have signed a long-term contract to devote myself fully to achieving it."
"Our short-term goal is to climb the Premier League standings, which will be our main focus until the final whistle of the last game of the season. I look forward to training and working with these players to achieve that goal."
