Liverpool Gets Boost as Klopp Reveals Latest Good News Before Pursuing Premier League Top 4 and Two More Trophies

Liverpool gets a boost as Klopp reveals the latest good news ahead of the chase for a Premier League top 4 spot and pursuit of two more trophies.

On 2 Apr 2026 GMT+7, Arne Klopp, Liverpool's manager, announced the latest good news via the club's website ahead of the final stretch of the 2025-26 season. The team is still competing for a UEFA Champions League spot and aiming to win two cup competitions as follows.

Premier League - Currently 5th with 49 points, behind Manchester United (55) and Aston Villa (54).

FA Cup - Quarterfinals, set to visit Manchester City.

UEFA Champions League - Quarterfinals, set to face Paris Saint-Germain.

Most recently, Liverpool will have Alexander Isak, the club's record signing at £125 million, back training with the team today after an ankle injury suffered during the Premier League match winning 2-1 away against Spurs on 20 Dec 2025.

Liverpool's manager spoke about Alexander Isak nearing full fitness after surgery and rehabilitation progressing as planned: "I think Alex is in great shape because Sweden qualified for the World Cup. Additionally, he will return to team training for the first time tomorrow."

"After working hard for 3-4 months and coming back to train with the team, that's good news for everyone. So Alex is in good condition."

"Of course, this is just his first training after 3-4 months off, but we are glad he's back because we all know who we signed, and we signed a fantastic striker."

"So having him back in a team that creates many chances – maybe not immediately starting matches – but his return in these last two months is a huge benefit to us."

Although it’s still unclear when Alexander Isak will be able to fully help Liverpool, the latest situation gives hope he will return to play during the remainder of this season.
