Oliver Glasner, manager of the "Eagles" Crystal Palace, said he hopes to lead the team to an away victory over the "Reds" Liverpool at Anfield in tonight's Premier League match, after having already beaten Liverpool three times this season.
Crystal Palace has defeated Liverpool three times already this season—in the Community Shield (penalty shootout), the Premier League, and the Carabao Cup (fourth round). Recently, Glasner, 51, told the official Crystal Palace website that he is determined to win against Liverpool for the fourth time.
Glasner said, “Right now we have a chance to beat Liverpool for the fourth time in a single season. I think that is very special. First, you don’t often play a team like Liverpool four times a year.”
“On the other hand, having already won three times is a big deal for us, and that’s why we are highly motivated. Because maybe this won’t happen again, and it’s a great opportunity for us to make it happen.”
“If we go to Liverpool without ambition to win there, I think... we might as well just play in London... because there’s no point in going to Liverpool and saying, if we lose, it’s okay.”
