Pep Guardiola, manager of Manchester City, has made a decision after trailing Arsenal by 5 points in the English Premier League.
Pep Guardiola, manager of the "Sky Blues" Manchester City, confirmed the team's goal is to overtake and win the Premier League this season, starting with a victory over Crystal Palace tonight.
Currently, Manchester City is second in the table, 5 points behind leaders Arsenal, with one game in hand. They are scheduled to host Crystal Palace at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday, 13 May, at 02:00 GMT+7.
When asked about Arsenal’s recent win over West Ham, Pep said, "I will focus only on Crystal Palace and what we need to do next. From my experience as a manager, what you cannot control, just forget it."
"Focus on the fight for the Premier League title. We are still in the battle, and the next match is against Crystal Palace."
Nevertheless, Pep does not underestimate Crystal Palace and praised their manager Oliver Glasner, saying, "He took his team to the Europa League final, which shows how dangerous they are."
"Playing against them has always been tough, from Roy Hodgson’s time to now Oliver Glasner. They reached a European final. Maybe they have struggled a bit in the Premier League with many changes."
"Their manager is about to leave; they've announced this for some time. Maybe they are inconsistent, but their quality remains, and that has been evident."
