Some teams are disappointed as the "supercomputer" predicts the latest favorite to win the Premier League after all have played the same number of matches.
On 14 May 2026 GMT+7, Opta, the football statistics expert, revealed the latest prediction by its supercomputer on which team has the higher chance to win the 2025-26 English Premier League season after each team has played 36 matches.
In last night's result, Manchester City defeated Crystal Palace 3-0 in a rescheduled match, closing the gap to league leaders Arsenal to just 2 points, and now also holding a superior goal difference.
1. Arsenal (36 matches) 79 points (68 goals scored, 26 conceded, goal difference +42)
2. Manchester City (36 matches) 77 points (75 goals scored, 32 conceded, goal difference +43)
Opta's supercomputer predicts that Arsenal still firmly holds the position as the top favorite to win the Premier League, although their winning probability has dropped from nearly 75 percent to about 71 percent, with Manchester City's chance rising correspondingly.
This is largely because Arsenal's remaining fixtures appear easier, as they will play at home against already relegated Burnley before traveling to face Crystal Palace, who are focusing on the UEFA Conference League final.
Meanwhile, Manchester City must visit Bournemouth, who are still fighting for a UEFA Champions League spot, before returning home to face Aston Villa, another team in the top five.
Favorite 1: Arsenal 85.68% (previously 87.20%)
Favorite 2: Manchester City 14.32% (previously 12.80%)
