Manchester United Eyes Top Striker to Boost Attack

"The Red Devils," Manchester United, are thrilled at the chance to sign this top-level striker to strengthen their squad.

Sportmole, a well-known sports media outlet, reported that Manchester United, a Premier League giant, is considering signing Robert Lewandowski, the Polish striker from Barcelona, to join Old Trafford this summer.

Lewandowski, 37, recently officially announced he will leave Barcelona on a free transfer at the end of June when his contract expires.

Since moving from Bayern Munich to Barcelona in summer 2022, Lewandowski has scored 119 goals and provided 24 assists in 191 matches, including 18 goals and 4 assists in 44 games this season.

The latest report says Manchester United is closely monitoring Lewandowski's situation, hoping to add him to their attacking depth as they prepare for next season, in which the Red Devils will return to the UEFA Champions League.

United believes Lewandowski's experience will help the team, and young striker Benjamin Sesko will greatly benefit from learning alongside a top forward like Lewandowski.

However, it won’t be easy for Manchester United, as clubs from Saudi Arabia's Pro League and the United States' Major League Soccer have also expressed interest.

It is believed Lewandowski wants to continue playing in Europe, and a long-awaited move to the Premier League could happen this summer.
