Liverpool became the final team to secure a UEFA Champions League spot via a special additional place (EPS) after the Premier League was allocated an extra UCL spot this season for ranking among the top two leagues with the best UEFA coefficient points.
Unfortunately, Bournemouth missed out on a UCL spot. Aston Villa, who recently won the Europa League, finished 4th in the Premier League standings, preventing the EPS spot from dropping to 6th place. However, Bournemouth will participate in the Europa League for the first time in the club's history.
