A star player of the "Reds" Liverpool has announced his farewell from the team.
Following the official announcement by Liverpool, the Premier League giant, that French international defender Ibrahima Konaté will leave Anfield this summer after failing to agree on a new contract.
Recently, Konaté posted heartfelt words: "Five years ago, I came here as a young player full of dreams. Today, I leave with memories that will stay with me for a lifetime. Playing in front of you and representing this club has been a great honor."
"We have shared many great moments together — successes, challenges, and enduring friendships. Losing my father this year was the hardest time, but my dedication to this club never wavered. Even in the toughest moments, I always gave my all for this badge."
"To the fans, thank you for everything — your love, encouragement, and incredible support. Anfield is a very special place. I love you all and will keep my Liverpool memories close to my heart wherever I go."
"I deeply regret not having the chance to say goodbye in the final game, as I did not know it would be the last time I wore this shirt in front of you."
Konaté joined Liverpool from RB Leipzig in 2021. He played 183 matches, scoring 7 goals, and played a key role in helping the team win the 2024-25 Premier League, the FA Cup, two Carabao Cups, and the Community Shield.
