Patrice Evra Reveals What Manchester United Must Do to Challenge for Premier League and UEFA Champions League Titles

Patrice Evra clearly reveals what Manchester United must do if they want to compete for the Premier League and UEFA Champions League titles against other teams.

On 1 June 2026, Patrice Evra, former French left-back, spoke out about what "The Red Devils," Manchester United, his former club in the English Premier League, must do if they want to rise up and challenge for the Premier League and UEFA Champions League titles again.

Patrice Evra said, "Enough with the excuses. I'm tired of hearing about projects, changes, and patience. This is Manchester United, not a charity organization. If you want to compete in the Champions League and challenge for major trophies again, you need midfielders with personality, quality, and a winning mentality."

"Look at Sandro Tonali. The guy plays football like he's angry all the time. He runs, he fights, he's a leader. That's the kind of character United lacks. Then there's Aurélien Tchouaméni, a strong, smart, and calm player even under pressure—a midfielder who makes those around him better."

"There's also Elliott Anderson, a young player who's brave and hungry for victory. He plays with a desire many players at big clubs have lost. That's what Manchester United needs—not players who are just happy to wear the shirt, but those willing to sacrifice for it. If I were in charge, I'd push to sign at least two of these players immediately."
