Summary of the Real Madrid club presidential election results from last night.
As expected, Florentino Pérez was elected to continue as president of Real Madrid for another four years, until 2030, after winning the vote against challenger Enrique Riquelme in Sunday's election.
The election results showed that 79-year-old Pérez won decisively, receiving 65.84% of the votes, while Riquelme garnered 34.16%.
Many are now watching the new era of Real Madrid under Pérez, who began by bringing back José Mourinho as coach, and securing agreements to sign defender Ibrahima Konaté from Liverpool and right-back Denzel Dumfries from Inter Milan to Santiago Bernabéu.
It is expected that numerous superstar players will join to further strengthen the team in pursuit of future successes.
