Man Utd jolted as Elliot Anderson drops sharp remarks after joining Man City
Following the announcement by "The Citizens," Manchester City, a Premier League powerhouse, officially signed 23-year-old England international midfielder Elliot Anderson from "The Forest," Nottingham Forest, to the Etihad Stadium for a club-record fee of £116 million.
Anderson said, "I can hardly wait to play for this club. This is a club built to win trophies and compete at the highest level of football. That is exciting for every footballer."
"I think they are winners. They never give up, and that is the kind of team I want to be part of. Over the past 10 to 12 years, they have been dominant continuously. That is why I wanted to come here."
The midfielder is eagerly anticipating playing in the Manchester derby, with City scheduled to face their long-time rivals Manchester United at Old Trafford on 13 September.
Anderson, who had been a target for Manchester United this summer, said, "This is one of the biggest derbies in the world, and since I have known Manchester, City has always been the king of this city."
"It will be a fantastic game, and I can hardly wait to be involved in a match like that."
