Man Utd Take Note: Amorim Speaks Candidly After Failure with the Red Devils
Ruben Amorim, AC Milan's manager, admitted he made several mistakes that led to his failure managing the "Red Devils," his former team in the English Premier League.
Amorim was dismissed as Manchester United manager in early January after the team's results fell short of expectations. Michael Carrick took over, leading the "Red Devils" to finish third in the Premier League and qualify for the UEFA Champions League, eventually earning permanent appointment as manager. Recently, Amorim opened up about the reasons behind his failure with the Red Devils.
Amorim said, "It no longer matters now; the situation has changed, and you have to focus on the next challenge. I have learned a great deal."
"It's hard to pinpoint one specific issue, but what I know for sure is that I made many mistakes. When you review everything, you realize it wasn't just their fault but mine as well."
Additionally, Amorim explained why Milan signed him: "They signed me because they felt I was the right fit for their playing style. They wanted to play in my style. I believe they didn't sign me just because of my past successes but also because of my experience with big clubs like Manchester United and the ideas I shared during meetings with the club's executives."
