Chelsea Wastes No Time, Officially Unveils New Striker with a Sharp Statement

Chelsea wastes no time, officially unveiling their "new striker" along with a sharp statement.

Following the announcement that the "Blues" Chelsea have officially signed English striker Danny Welbeck from Brighton to Stamford Bridge on a two-year contract, with no official disclosure of the transfer fee.

The 35-year-old Welbeck, formerly a forward for the "Red Devils" Manchester United and Arsenal, said, "When I heard Chelsea was interested in me, I felt incredibly proud knowing the club's history. This is a club that aims to win titles and push itself every season."

"I feel deeply honored to join at such an exciting time. I already know some of my teammates, and after talking with the manager, I immediately felt connected."

"I am highly determined and ready to give my all for this club to make everyone at Chelsea, including the fans, proud."

Welbeck achieved a career-high record last season by scoring 13 league goals in 37 matches for Brighton during the 2025-26 campaign.

He becomes Chelsea's third new signing this summer, following Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa and Marco Palestra from Atalanta.
