Isak speaks candidly after Liverpool's home defeat to Monaco.
Following Liverpool's 2-3 loss at Anfield to strong Ligue 1 side Monaco in their latest friendly match,
Isak, who scored one goal in the game, said, "It was very good. I'm happy to be back playing at home, in front of the fans, and getting more playing time. I feel really good."
"Regarding the second goal, I think both Wirtz and I touched the ball, but I'm not sure who actually scored. I do feel like I touched it, but I really can't say for sure."
On his fitness during pre-season, he said, "I feel good. Each game I play, I hope it helps me get fitter. That's what I'm trying to do. I think I felt better today than in the last game, and I hope the next game will be better than today. That's the purpose of pre-season: to build strength, and that's what we need to keep doing."
Talking about working with Iraola, he said, "It's very good. I feel the team atmosphere is great, and we are all working hard to make sure everything goes well. We will ensure we are ready for the start of the season."
