Amorim takes a tough stance, telling three AC Milan players they can find new clubs.
Fabrizio Romano, a highly reliable Italian journalist, reported that Ruben Amorim, head coach of the "Rossoneri" AC Milan, has informed three players they can leave the club this summer amid rumors of Premier League clubs strengthening their squads.
After a poor 14-month spell managing Manchester United, Amorim was dismissed in January with the lowest winning rate among all United managers in Premier League history (31.9%), before taking over at AC Milan in June.
The 41-year-old coach aims to achieve what his predecessors could not, with a strong transfer market being key to his success at AC Milan. The club has already signed three players this summer, most notably Gonzalo Ramos from Paris Saint-Germain for £60 million.
Now, Amorim appears ready to let go of some key players, listing three for sale: Fikayo Tomori, Youssouf Fofana, and Christopher Nkunku.
Tomori and Fofana were substitutes who did not play in AC Milan's 3-0 loss to Chelsea on 8 August, possibly signaling Amorim's stance on them, while Nkunku, who came on in the second half, is valued at £34 million.
Tomori has been linked with Liverpool, Newcastle United, and Coventry City. His contract with AC Milan runs until June 2027, but the Serie A giants seem keen to sell him now rather than risk losing him for free next summer, seeking around £12.8 million.
Fofana is attracting interest from Premier League sides Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace, both looking to strengthen their midfield, with a valuation of £13 million.
