Liverpool has set the transfer fee for their "target player" and will not pay more than this amount.
Fabrizio Romano, the renowned transfer market journalist, reported that Liverpool, the Premier League giant, is ready to spend up to £120 million to sign Bradley Barcola, the French winger from Paris Saint-Germain.
It is understood that Liverpool is searching for a replacement for Mohamed Salah, who left the club at the end of last season. Despite having promising young wingers like Rio Nguemoha and new signing Víctor Muñoz, Barcola may be the most suitable successor to Salah.
Barcola is eager to join Liverpool and has already agreed on personal terms with the club. However, he is disappointed with his current situation as his future remains uncertain since PSG has not received the transfer fee they want.
Liverpool has persistently pursued Barcola but insists they will not spend more than £120 million, considering this a fair valuation. This contrasts with PSG's demand of £145 million.
Meanwhile, French journalist Sébastien Vidal added that Barcola views a move to Liverpool as the best option because PSG's attacking lineup is highly competitive, and coach Luis Enrique cannot guarantee him a starting position.
Besides Barcola, Liverpool was also interested in signing Ibrahim Mbaye, another PSG winger. However, upon realizing the amount needed to secure Barcola, reports say they have withdrawn from the Mbaye pursuit.
Liverpool's plan is clear: to sign two wingers before the summer transfer window closes, especially if Cody Gakpo moves to Tottenham Hotspur.
