Support for Bayern Munich Star Mycon Cardoso as He Faces 3-4 Month Injury Layoff

Mycon Cardoso, the Brazilian Bayern Munich footballer, faces a long-term injury and will be sidelined for 3-4 months, with fans sending their support.

On 2 September 2026, Mycon Cardoso, a Brazilian winger with Thai roots who previously played for Bangkok Christian College, started for Bayern Munich's reserve team in a 2-0 away win over FV Illertissen. In that match, he also assisted the opening goal in late August.

Recently, Mycon received sad news as he suffered a shoulder injury that brought him to tears, causing concern among fans since his professional football career was progressing well.

Bayern Munich has updated Mycon's injury status, stating he will need to rest for approximately 3-4 months.

"Bayern Munich will be unable to use Mycon Cardoso for a period of time,"

"He fell and landed on his shoulder, causing a dislocation. He is scheduled for surgery today and is expected to be out for about 3-4 months," said Christoph Freud, Bayern's sports director, during a press conference ahead of the DFB-Pokal match against VfL Osnabrück.

"Previously, Mycon unfortunately got injured in the reserve team's match against FV Illertissen last Saturday."

"Wishing you a speedy recovery, Mycon!"

Mycon moved from Brazil to Thailand as a child after his father, former footballer Douglas, came to play in Thailand. He then shined in the Bayern World Squad program, earning a spot in Bayern Munich's youth team. Later, he made his Bundesliga debut in the 2025/26 season as a substitute for Luis Diaz in the 4-1 victory over Borussia Mönchengladbach. He aspires to join Brazil's national team for the 2030 World Cup.
