Liverpool Star Penalized for Misconduct in Premier League

Liverpool star punished for misconduct in the Premier League.

On 10 September 2026, Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker was fined £8,000 (360,000 baht) for misconduct following the second Premier League match of the season on 29 August.

A video clip circulated showing Alisson Becker kicking the fourth official's substitution and added time board as he walked off the pitch after Liverpool's 2-2 draw with Nottingham Forest.

The cause of his frustration was the malfunction of the fourth official's board during the game, preventing Liverpool from making a substitution while the score was still 1-1. Despite the ball going out of play three times, the Reds could not complete the substitution.

Liverpool then conceded a penalty, which Morgan Gibbs-White converted to put Nottingham Forest ahead 2-1. However, the Reds avoided defeat when Víctor Muñoz scored a late equalizer to make it 2-2.

A spokesperson for the English Football Association revealed that Alisson admitted the charge and was fined £8,000 for inappropriate behavior near the tunnel.

However, on Wednesday, the Key Match Incidents panel announced their review, stating that the penalty awarded in that moment should not have been given.
