Roberto De Zerbi, manager of Tottenham Hotspur, admitted feeling extremely frustrated and upset after his team conceded silly goals and lost 2-3 at home to Aston Villa last night, marking their fifth consecutive Premier League match without a win.
De Zerbi said, "The game was effectively over before we scored. We played very well in the first half and created many chances, but conceding the first two goals in such unacceptable ways cost us."
"Regarding the first goal, we needed better communication and to play as one team, but we failed and gave away a silly goal. For the second goal, we were caught offside, but we needed more concentration."
"We must be stronger. We have to show more than we have so far. Football involves tactics, but it’s also about fighting, competing for the ball, and possession. Without those, it’s hard to win."
